The center draws families from the Bel-Air, Hodgin, Altura Park, and Governor Bent neighborhoods, as well as parents working along the I-40 corridor.
ChildCo stands out for its nature-inspired play spaces that encourage children to explore the natural world through hands-on activities. The outdoor areas include natural elements designed to spark curiosity, from sensory gardens to open-air learning stations. These spaces reflect ABQ Childcare's belief that children learn best through play and direct experience with their environment.
Director April Vargas has been with ABQ Childcare for nearly 20 years. She holds an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and has built a team that prioritizes individualized attention for every child.
